What it is

A frontend experience for exploring financial insights and publicly traded companies in Uganda and Kenya. The interface uses a dark, editorial visual system to make company information, market context, and research-oriented content easier to scan.

The Problem

Financial research interfaces can become dense and difficult to navigate. Sents Africa needed a clear way to introduce its market intelligence product, guide users into company discovery, and make complex information feel approachable on desktop and mobile.

My Role

Focused on the frontend implementation: landing page composition, responsive layouts, visual storytelling, dark-mode styling, data-oriented UI patterns, and the interaction details that support company and market exploration.

Approach

Built the interface with React and Next.js, using a dark-mode-first design direction, green accent color system, responsive content sections, and data visualization patterns. The layout gives users a clear entry point before progressively introducing deeper financial information.

Hardest Decision

Designing financial data visualizations that are informative without being overwhelming — finding the right level of detail for dashboards that serve both quick daily checks and deeper monthly reviews.

Status

Live at sentsafrica.com as a frontend experience for Sents Africa's financial insights and publicly traded company research product.

What I'd Change

Would add automated bank statement imports, implement budget forecasting models, and add team collaboration features for shared financial reviews.
